What They Do
In her post as The Special Envoy for Women and Children, Kim Simplis Barrow championed the needs of women and children in Belize by advocating for legislation and policies, engaging the public, and developing programs to benefit women, children and families in Belize.
Project Goal
Design a colorful and vibrant website to share the story of Kim Simplis Barrow, Spouse of the former Prime Minister of Belize during her time as The Special Envoy of Belize.
My Experience

When we started, the basic Wix website had been developed with very different styling, and only a handful of pages. Because it was a few years old already, and had not been updated in some time, it needed a sort of design face lift. I was able to use some of the original styling such as highlight color font for major headings. I then blended these styles with a cleaner, more modern typeface for the body text and subtitles.

We reworked the site-map and simplified the content delivery strategy. The majority of the content is held in a list of projects, for which we uploaded a photo gallery, the story in text content, and for some projects – video.

Mrs.Barrow’s team was super helpful and easy to work with. She has a bright aesthetic and knows what she likes, so her feedback was direct and consistent, which made it easier for me to do my job – to help her tell her story.
